Players will find their character waking up in the Bad guy’s ship. The bad guy in the story is named Brainiac. Here, you get to choose the paths of becoming a super hero or a super villain.
The combat and control of the DC Universe Online is sweet. Everything works well and easy in both PS3 and PC. The control takes quite a little time to get used to. Attacks and gameplay is like real time in responsiveness considering the known problems between MMO and latency. Players can concentrate more on the action instead of getting used to the controls. This is what makes the game quite fun.
Leveling is the way to get stronger in the game. As you level up more, you gain more powers which vary depending on what powers you have chosen for your character at the start of the game. You get to choose powers to level up depending on what suits your taste. There will be powers that will work good with each other and powers which will be good for your combos. There are also powers which may not be powerful but you have to keep them since they are prerequisites of much stronger powers in your skill tree.
Visual of the DC Universe Online is quite stunning. The progression of how your character will look definitely will give Role Playing Game a totally whole new meaning. The graphics of the enemies in the game is great that it will make you want to pound them more. The sound effects are fantasy like which really gives you that super hero feel for the game.
Overall, the game is great. The only problem is the money you will be spending to play it. Yes, the DC Universe Online is quite expensive for the monthly subscription of the game but the lifetime subscription is not that expensive considering how many days you will be spending to play the game. But with the gaming experience that this game has, it is totally worth your money.
